    This web page will provide information on a variety of special education topics for parents of students with disabilities, teachers and the Holland community.  Please take some time out of your busy schedule to familiarize yourself with the information posted on the district's web page.

     

    Student support services available beyond the regular comprehensive educational program are:

    Parents, who suspect their child might have an educational disability, should contact their child's teacher, the school psychologist assigned to their child's building,  a guidance counselor or the principal.  The Special Education Department may also be contacted for additional information and guidance.

  • The New York State Education Department: Office of Special Education Programs has initiated a Special Education Quality Assurance (SEQA)  Special Education Programs and Services Focused Review in  the Holland Central School District during the 2015-16 school year. The purpose of this review is to assess the district's compliance with selected federal and State laws and regulations governing the education of students with disabilities.

    The review will be conducted by the SEQA Western regional Office. The review process will involve a review of school records of a representative sample of students with disabilities, classroom visitations and surveys.  In addition, meetings of the Committee on Special Education will be observed.
