Nationality Doll project
Due: Monday, May 5, 2013
Title: Nationality Doll
Purpose: Each student will be given a blank paper doll. We will be finishing reading Hundred Dresses, which talks about people's different backgrounds and being accepting of others. The children are to briefly research one of their heritages and create their doll based on their choice. For instance, if they are Irish and German, they could pick Irish and dress their doll in traditional irish dress.
The students will have to briefly present to the class their doll, the nationality and why they chose to dress their doll in that way. This is supposed to be a fun, engaging mini-project.
**Parents please remember that helping your child complete at-home projects is encouraged, but completing the project for them is not helping. Thank you for your support. If you have ANY questions on any projects assigned throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me.
